H.M.S. Pinafore is both a rollicking satire and a love story across social classes. A sailor falls in love with his captain's daughter but can't tell her due to his lowly station. At the same time, the First Lord of the Admiralty, a high-ranking man who's never been to sea, seeks the daughter's hand for himself. After secret revelations and bold declarations of love, all come to a happy ending where everyone agrees that "love levels all ranks".
Alistair Donkin's Final Performance
After flying in from England to direct and perform in our summer productions for the last forty years, Alistair Donkin has announced that this year will be his final performance with the Society.
